The Rosario Incorporated mission in 2011 for our Lead Interpreter program is to assist our interpreters to continue their professional development and training by the timely delivery and exchange of pertinent information.
A certification in North Carolina is not required for the existing role of medical interpreter. However, certification will be a requirement in the near future due to the growth of the Hispanic community in the last 10-15 years and the increase in the expectations and demands of our industry. Rosario Incorporated is committed to the professional development of our service professionals by the dissemination of resourceful communications using all available tools and training. To keep our competitive edge, we are committed to assisting our interpreters stay up-to-date with the growing demands of our industry. In addition to experience, Rosario Incorporated requires that all interpreters have a minimum of Area Health and Education (AHEC) I, II, and III courses or its equivalent, Bridging the Gap sessions. These courses are held throughout the year, and updated information dates, times and locations for these courses can be found on the internet.
