Interpreter's Corner

Our Lead Interpreter Program's mission for 2010 is to assist our interpreters with resources to continue their professional development and training.

In the State of North Carolina,  a certification is not required for the existing role of the medical interpreter. Due to the growth of the Hispanic community within the last 10-15 years,  the increase of  expectations and the demands of our industry, more than likely certification will be  a requirement  in the near future. Rosario Incorporated is committed in assisting our service professionals with  their professional develop-ment via resourceful communications of  any tools and training  available within the industry and market.  In order to keep our competitive edge we are committed in assisting our  interpreters in staying up-to-date with the the growing demands of our industry. In addition to experience, Rosario Incorporated requires that all interpreters have a minimum of Area Health and Education (AHEC) I, II, and III courses or its equivalent, Bridging the Gap Sessions.  These courses are held throughout the year.  Updated information dates, times and locations for the same can be found on the I-Net.

Below is a  list of some local colleges, universities, professional organizations and licensing bodies which provide further information regarding training, certification and standards in the interpreting and translating field.
